what this is and how it works

The fomo.family leaderboard shows a number. It does not show whether that number came from skill or one lucky ticket, which wallet the person actually trades from, or what they are buying today. This fills in all three, on nothing but public endpoints.

Three things that took a while to learn

  1. A fomo profile address is not a wallet

    Every address the fomo API returns is an internal account with zero on-chain history. The real one is inferred by intersecting who traded the same token in the same minute across a dozen of a trader's swaps, weighting quiet windows higher. Measured 41 correct out of 42.

  2. That PnL is real money, and it includes open bags

    A wallet showing millions on a few thousand of on-chain outlay is not a glitch: the position ran and was never sold. Negative on-chain cash flow is what accumulating looks like, not what losing looks like.

  3. A relayer submits every trade

    The trader's wallet is never the transaction's sender, so searching by sender finds nothing. Each fill routes through one contract, and the wallet's leg facing it gives the direction. That is why tracking the whole roster costs two requests and no money.

Reading the numbers

Conviction is the sum of each holder's (score/100)². It says whose money is in a name rather than how many wallets are, because anyone can open a wallet.

Mult is what a position is worth against what it cost. A dash means fomo reports profit already withdrawn, so the entry price cannot be recovered.

USDG and WETH are quote assets, never positions. Feeds built on raw DEX data rank the stablecoin every trade passes through as the most-bought token on the chain.

A score judges process, not price. It is an opinion about whether a result looks repeatable. It is not a prediction.
